Molecules Africa, born in Cape Town, South Africa and led by an international team of project management, renewable energy and food experts, introduces innovative and versatile sustainable technologies to Africa. We process waste materials into valuable products and develop renewable energy projects together with our partners.
Our mission
At Molecules Africa, we are dedicated to addressing the pressing challenges of unreliable and costly power supply, as well as the unnecessary waste of valuable resources across the region. Through cutting-edge technologies, we transform waste materials into valuable products and affordable clean energy. Our mission is to lead the shift toward sustainability, driving a circular economy that not only reduces environmental impact but also strengthens energy security for communities in Africa.
Providing reliable solar energy and solar-as-a-service for Africa
Molecules Africa is pioneering community driven energy as a service to make reliable and affordable clean power available throughout Africa. We aim to change the energy and solar marketplaces to deliver low cost, low carbon, low risk solutions for utilities, businesses and public institutions. Molecules Africa is a reliable independent power producer, project developer and asset manager of photovoltaic plants.
Discovering value from waste materials – only more advanced
Molecules Africa is the distribution and service partner of ADAR technologies in Southern Africa.
The technology provides solutions for some of the world’s greatest challenges.
It dehydrates, pulverizes, and sanitizes nearly any material in a millisecond, without the use of heat, harmful chemicals, or fossil fuels.
ADAR offers unprecedented efficiency, requiring up to 75% less energy compared to conventional drying methods.
Redifining the world of material processing – to avoid food and environmental waste
Depite chronic malnutriciion, Africa throws away almost 40% of the food it produces. Molecules Africa enables the processing of valuable by-products, expiring products or food waste using ADAR. The materials are dried, pulverized, and sanitized to produce bio-friendly animal feed or nutrient-rich additives (fibers, vitamins, proteins, fats, calcium, etc.), creating new market opportunities.
Using the same principle manure, sludges and other environmental waste can also be processed.
Driving the resource revolution in Africa – only in partnership
At Molecules Africa, we recognize the power of collaboration in driving impactful change. We work closely with local communities, businesses, governments, and global partners to develop and operate projects that turn waste materials into sustainable products and clean energy. By combining our technological expertise with our partners’ resources and knowledge, we create scalable solutions that deliver economic and environmental value.
